Socio is one of the unique cocktail bars in Hong Kong that focuses on creativity, community, and responsible drinking. This welcoming cocktail lounge uses extra ingredients from nearby restaurants and bars that might otherwise be thrown away. Instead of wasting them, the team turns these ingredients into fresh and tasty drinks. Every cocktail shows how simple ideas can create amazing flavors. As a modern mixology bar, Socio believes great drinks can also help reduce some waste and bring people together.

Our Concept

We are the first concept of its kind that focuses on a community approach to our cocktail program. Over the next few pages, we will give you detailed information on all our cocktails, which will help you to explain to guests what makes us unique.

Our Ethos

Society

We collaborate with local charities such as Hanuman, a charity helping support homeless and underprivileged people in Hong Kong, by providing meals as well as collaborating with food made good and zero footprint.

Sustainability

We keep our concept transparent on sustainable drinks. We measure and analyse how much food waste we upcycle and put it in the menu for customers to see an achievable goal.

Community

By fostering a community approach, we help to promote local businesses, create cross-partnerships all about being more sustainable, educate venues and staff on waste, and contribute towards reducing and recycling food waste. We have also hosted the Hong Kong university students on a new Master’s course on hospitality and sustainability.
